GST registration in Singapore: when you must register

A business must register for GST when its taxable turnover is more than S$1 million in the past 12 months, or is expected to be in the next 12 months.

Voluntary registration. A business below the threshold may still register. It must then stay registered for at least two years.

What happens next. Once registered, you charge GST on your sales, claim it on your purchases and file a return each quarter.
